Week 2: Discovery Camp
Dates: June 30th-July 7th, 2019
Ages: 8-11 Session Maximum: 64 girls & 64 boys Cabin Maximum: 7-8 Campers Discovery Camp is our first week long session for children. Campers will experience a variety of base camp activities such as archery, arts & crafts, drama, ropes, sports, and field games. This is a perfect introductory week that will help young and first-time campers discover their interests. At PSR Camp, a full session of camp begins for children who are at least 8 years old. Some children want to go at age 7 while others wait until age 9 or 10. We really rely on parents to decide when is the right age for their child to start on a sleep-away camp adventure. If a FULL WEEK is too much for your child (or perhaps too much for mom or dad) we're offering shorter cub camp sessions for children who are at least 7 years old (See Cub I or Cub II). Our additional goals for discovery campers:
Discovery base camp rotations are: Archery, Arts & Crafts, Basic Baking, Climbing Wall, Drama Games, Field Games, Go-Kart Rides, Nature, Obstacle Course, Sports, & Swimming. |

Week 3: Junior Camp & Tween Camp
Dates: July 7th-14th, 2019
Ages: 9-12 (Juniors) & 12-15 (Tweens) Session Maximum: 160 campers Cabin Maximum: 8-9 Campers Week Three combines two different age groups, Juniors (9-12) & Tweens (12-15) into one camp session. Juniors and Tweens are allowed to come to PSR Camp during this week BUT are separated during meals, rotations, cabin assignments, program seating, and shower times. If you enroll your camper into a Junior Camp, they won't be able to cabin together with a friend in the Tween Camp and vice versa. Why do you have combined sessions? Most of our campers are between the ages of 9-15, and combo camp sessions are an opportunity for more children to come to Pine Spring Ranch because they are available & meet the age requirement. Also, parents like combo camp because their children who would normally be too far apart in age to attend the same week can attend during a combined session. What are the Junior Camp Rotations & Tween Camp Rotations? They're the same rotations, but the Tween Camp Rotations are slightly more advanced. Here is the complete list: Archery, Arts & Crafts, Basketball (or blacktop sports like hockey), Climbing Wall, Drama Games, Go-Karts (rides for juniors, driving for tweens), Nature Discoveries, Obstacle Course, Soccer (or field games), & Swimming. |

Week 6: Tween & Teen Camps
Dates: July 28th-August 4th, 2019
Ages: 12-15 Session Maximum: 168 campers Cabin Maximum: 8-9 Campers Week Six is our final week-long session for children. Every camper will choose a specialty activity (listed) for the morning activity period and will have an opportunity to do base camp rotations in the afternoons with their cabin mates. How is Week 6 Different? Week Six combines two different age groups, Tweens (12-15) & Teens (14-17) into one camp session. Tweens and Teens are allowed to come to PSR Camp during this week BUT are separated during meals, rotations, cabin assignments, program seating, and shower times. If you enroll your camper into a Tween Camp, they won't be able to cabin together with a friend in Teen Camp and vice versa. Why is the pricing so different? This session is on sale for 2019! We're not cutting the quality of the program, we're just offering a better price because the demand for camp during this time (late July - early August) is usually a little lower. Could my 14 or 15 year old child come to PSR Camp for 4 weeks in 2019? Yes. That's a lot of camp, but now these combined sessions now make it possible for 14 & 15 year olds to come for multiple weeks. |
